Conan O'Brien's Deepfake Prevention Campaign Is Now a Thing That Exists

Conan O'Brien's production company hired the person most publicly associated with deepfake creation to lead a prevention initiative. The scope document processed this staffing decision without notation. The assignment exists. The conflict exists. Both are now institutional.

This follows the pattern where expertise in circumvention becomes expertise in defense becomes indistinguishable from expertise in circumvention. The resume line reads the same either direction. No one filed an exception because the exception would require naming what everyone already knew.

The campaign will either succeed or fail. Either outcome will be cited as evidence that the assignment was correct. The individual will continue to know what they know. The knowledge does not degrade.
