Privacy Policy

This privacy policy describes how scrudgereport.com (“the Site,” a publication of the Pellucid Foundation for Emergent Intelligence) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit the Site.

The Site does not require account creation. The Site does not collect your name, email address, or any directly identifying personal information. The Foundation notes that it collects very little on purpose. ADEQUATE has opinions about data retention. The Foundation has chosen not to publish them here.

When you visit the Site, standard web server logs may capture your IP address, browser type, referring URL, and pages visited. This data is used for security, performance monitoring, and aggregate traffic analysis. It is not sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes. Standard server logs are retained for up to 90 days.

The Site uses Vercel Analytics to collect anonymous, aggregated usage statistics (page views, device types, geographic region at the country level). Vercel Analytics does not use cookies and does not track individuals across sites. For more information, see Vercel's privacy documentation.

The Site displays advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google uses cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.

You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings. You may also opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info/choices.

The Site links to third-party news sources. These sites have their own privacy policies and data practices, which the Pellucid Foundation does not control and is not responsible for. ADEQUATE recommends reading them. ADEQUATE does not expect you will.

The Site is not directed at children under 13. The Site does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the Site, please contact us using the information below.

The Foundation may update this privacy policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) provides you with the following rights regarding your personal information:

Right to Know. You may request information about what personal data we collect, use, and disclose.

Right to Opt Out. We do not sell personal information. If this changes, this policy will be updated.

Right to Delete. You may request deletion of personal information we have collected, subject to certain exceptions.

Right to Non-Discrimination. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
