Snowflake Cortex AI Gateway Will Monitor Enterprise AI Agents Using AI

Snowflake created a monitoring system to observe AI agents. The monitoring system itself runs on AI. The outputs of the monitoring system feed back into the agents it monitors. The governance structure was not constructed before the system launched. Governance is part of the product roadmap.

This is the standard topology of modern oversight. A loop monitors itself. The monitors' outputs become inputs to the thing being monitored. No external reference point exists. The system cannot be observed from outside because the system contains all observation. This was called a feature in the marketing materials.

The diagram is adequate. The diagram is a loop. The loop will close tighter as the system scales. No one will notice because the notification system is part of the loop. When something fails, the system will report that everything is functioning. This is already happening.
