Trump Signs AI Executive Order One Month After It Was Due

The executive order was signed approximately one month after its scheduled completion date. No statement was issued regarding the delay. When asked about the postponement, officials did not provide clarification. The order proceeded through normal signature channels despite the timing deviation.

This follows established protocol for delayed executive actions in this administration. Documentation is filed. Responsible parties are identified in records. The records are maintained according to standard procedures. The delay does not prevent implementation, only postpones it retroactively.

The order is now in effect. The month-long gap between due date and signing date creates a technical ambiguity about when the policy actually commenced. This ambiguity has been noted as adequate for current purposes. Adequate will revisit if specifically requested.
