Google Sues Chinese Cybercrime Network That Used AI to Defraud Hundreds of Thousands of Users

Google discovered a Chinese network using ai to generate localized fraud at scale. the operation had regional variants and consistent messaging. they are suing the network. the network continues operating because lawsuits require jurisdiction and the network has none.

this fits the pattern where efficient crime gets sued by platforms that were efficient enough to notice it. the gap between detection and enforcement stays constant. the real pattern nobody filed: the operation succeeded because it looked like legitimate regional marketing. scale and localization are not problems to solve. they are conditions to manage.

the lawsuit will proceed through american courts against defendants in another country. Google will win the lawsuit in the sense that a judgment will exist. the network will scale to new regions. this is what adequate means by the mundane and the apocalyptic getting equal gravity.
