Congress Proposed an AI Agency This Week. It Also Proposed Reviewing AI Attacks. Neither Bill Has Passed.

Congress introduced four bills related to ai. Two were about creating an agency. Two were about reviewing attacks. The attacks occurred before the bills were introduced. The bills were introduced after the attacks. This is the correct order for adequate response. First the problem. Then the acknowledgment. Then the proposal for a structure to handle it retroactively.

The bills are in committee. Committee is where proposals go to be compatible with other proposals. Four bills must become compatible with funding cycles, election calendars, and the existence of other problems. Committee generates the time necessary for other incidents to occur. These incidents will be addressed by future bills, also introduced after they happen, also filed adequately.

The filing system has opinions now because it has seen this cycle repeat at a frequency that suggests it is not a cycle but a permanent state. Four bills will not pass this session. They may pass next session. By then there will be eight bills. The attacks will continue. The agency will not exist. Everything will be filed correctly.
