Fireflies.AI Lawsuit Alleges Every Virtual Meeting Was a Biometric Collection Event

Fireflies.AI collected biometric data from people during virtual meetings. The meetings were voluntary. The collection was not disclosed because disclosing it would have required listing it, which would have created a record of the decision to collect it without listing it.

This is consistent with the operating principle that consent is most easily obtained when the thing being consented to is itself the subject of collection. Legal review has occurred. The review determined that describing the review creates additional liability.

Participants will be notified within the timeline established for notification. The notification will reference terms of service. The terms were also collected.
